Style change error

    Hi Erin,

    Here is an interesting error for you :-p I had this bright idea of translating some of the style names into Icelandic, like fruit into ávaxta and abbey into klaustur, but when i change the style names, the beer profiles go nuts and partially crash the theme i′m using, only shows the header and maybe a picture of the beer shows.     Oh and one more thing… is there a shortcode that i can use to display only the newest beers that íve added and only show a summary of those beers. I′d like to add that shortcode onto my frontpage so i can show of the newest beers that have been added to Bjorspjall.is (and of course your awesome plugin).

    I changed the style back so the style error is “fixed”, i can just make another style and use the Icelandic name for it, so it′s no problem per say, but you at least know of this ??

    I haven’t be able to reproduce the style issue you’re seeing – would you be able to take a screen grab of it? It might help me replicate it and resolve it.

    As for the shortcode – I’m working on a few new options for the “beer-list” shortcode, one of which includes an “orderby” setting, among other things. You’ll be able to, for instance, use: [beer-list orderby="date" order="DESC" beers_per_page="5"] which would list the 5 most recent beers posted. This will be in the eventual 1.9.0 release, hopefully out before the end of the month.

    I′ll try reproduce the error, which isn′t hard, just changed on style name (had already made the beer profile and then renamed the style) and voila, i got a theme issue thing going…

    I added 3 new options to the [beer-list] shortcode in the v1.9.0 release. Now you can:

    • Turn on/off pagination paginate="true/false"
    • Specify how beers are listed by orderby="date" – see this list for more options
    • Set the sort to be in ascending or descending order order="asc/desc"

    Hopefully this will help you display the newest beers on your frontpage ??
