no worries. ok, good news and bad news: the good news is there’s probably a solution for your problem, the bad news is that since your theme is a premium theme from themeforest you need to head over to them and contact the developers for support ??

they should be happy to help.

Argh gorsh- i’ve tried that, which is what led me here..eek

hmm… i have noticed that there is #! in the url of the page that works and not one in the page that doesn’t. try resaving your site’s permalinks, that sometimes kicks things back into shape…

you are right, that def seems to be the issue here.

I have tried resaving the permalinks but that particular page still comes up without the #! – I’ve changed the hyperlink from the home page to include the #! manually (what we do- second picture) BUT- if I am in the admin side of the site, and press preview page, it takes me straight to the page without the #!

It’s seems that the same page exists twice somehow. :s

try the permalinks resave, it could be that the .htaccess file on your server is a bit squiffy and resaving your permalinks can sometimes reset it to work right.

Hi Jack, thank you for your help, really appriciate it.

when you say permalink resave, do you mean:

go to settings > permalinks > change the way permalinks are set > press save?

If so, I have tried that and now the other pages dont work lol- just my luck, so im going to have to go back to my hyperlinks and add the #! to all the ‘a href’addresses.

really dont know where this has all gone wrong tbh- think I need to set the permalinks custom to #!/%postname%/ so that all the pages automatically do that, but I dont seem to be able to do that

hmm… i’m really not sure where that #! is coming from in the URL. it shouldn’t be there at all and certainly not in the permalinks.

try setting them as /%category%/%postname%/ as the #! seems to be in the category position.

    (@creativejunkie)

no- no change, thank you again, I think i’ll just roll with adding the #! manually for the time being.

On further investigation, the problem only seems to be affecting the link from the admin editing page to the preview page. If I add the page to the menu side bar- the link works fine from there :S

Confusing BUT, you’ve deffo helped me make SOME sense of the situation, so that I can continue adding what I need.

    Cheers
