Style.css not updating

Hi, I update my content width in css.style to the following parameters and saved it (I have verified several times by going in and checking this number didn’t change):

#content {
float:left;
width:940px;
margin:0;
margin-right:20px;

When I go to the actual page and run the source code it is showing me a content width of 700. Why aren’t my changes being updated?
