style.css will not update

  • Hi all,

    I’ve just installed WP 2.1.3 on my cpanel hosted with hostgator.

    I am trying yo change the style.css but when I click on “update file” I get a “page not found” error in IE ond just a blank page in FireFox. When I refresh it goes back to style.css but the page has not updated.

    All the other pages like, header.php and sidebar.php etc update just fine.

    Anyone any ideas? This is driving me mad!

  • i am having exactly the same problem…i think…

    i am updating the kubrick css – right now all i want to do is change the header image and background tile – easy things to do but….

    i have uploaded both the new css and images – overiding old files via my ftp client but the site is still pulling the old items and wont even find the image when you enter the full URL – all i get is a 404 for that page.

    not sure WTF is going on! any ideas anyone?
