Is it possible to create an email template or customize them without editing the core files in WP-Members?

I’ve had a look at wp-members-email.php and it is hard-coded there.

Maybe using a hook, a template file with %s or {firstname} or a plugin extension, it would be very helpful since we could brand the emails and make them look very good.

I’d be glad to code it for you so you can integrate it if that helps.

This actually is going to be the main focus of the version 2.7 project. I will begin working on that following the release of the 2.6 upgrade, which is mostly complete and is currently in the testing/debugging stage.

In the meantime, I know it’s less than ideal and I usually recommend against it (but it sounds like you know what you’re doing), your option is to customize wp-members-email.php. If you go this direction, there are no changes to this file scheduled for the 2.6 so if you simply reload your changed file following the upgrade, you should be ok.

    Hope that helps.

(If you do have any ideas on a hook or template, or any other ideas, I’m always open – feel free to contact me via email with that).

    Sounds great Chad,

Version 2.7 is going to bring a lot of improvements! It’s good to know we can, for now, customize the …email.php file without risking an accidental data loss when upgrading ??
Thanks for your effort on the plugin, it is honestly the best one I’ve found around the plugin database and your dedication to it is greatly valued.

    Can’t wait for WP-Members 2.7… ??

    Cheers for all
