• I am using “Styled List” and just realized, the text within it seems to be “hidden”. Yoast SEO says there are only 59 words on the page and that is the number of words I have outside the Styled List. It also doesn’t recognize internal or outbound linking.

The reason I found and started using Ultimate Blocks was because I of my search for a solution like the Tabbed Content that didn’t hide the text. Most all other plugins hide the content from search engines which is self defeating. The “Tabbed Content” and the “Content Filter” seem to do well in this regard, but the “Styled List”, not so much

  • I have the same issue.. Following for a solution.

    Hi @skahle and @bytegeeky,

We have looked into the issue.

Gutenberg blocks are generally rendered using JavaScript. But they can also be rendered using PHP.

We made some of our blocks PHP rendered. Because we found out that making them JavaScript rendered can sometime break them on your end when we make major changes to the structure of the block.

We found out that SEO plugins work perfectly for JavaScript rendered block, but they seem to not working properly with PHP rendered blocks.

At this point there are no fix from our side since we can not change it back to JavaScript.

    But few things –

    1) We will contact with SEO plugins authors about it. See if they can do something from their end.

    2) Even though the SEO plugin might not detect it as internal link, I believe search engines will since the output is valid HTML.

    I hope this explains it.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    Regards.

So are you saying that the problem is with Yoast and that search engines CAN in fact see all the text in the block?

How can I check this? Search Console doesn’t show much of anything these days.

Also, I thought Java script is not the best way for SEO.

Is there another way to check and see just what search engines CAN see?
