Where do I change the blue color on the button that says Join Chat to a different color button to match my theme colors?

The message “Only participants can see this chat room messages” sounds illiterate. Where do I change that message to what I want it to say instead?

    Hi there!

You can configure most of colors in WordPress customizer:
    https://themeisle.com/blog/wordpress-customizer-how-to/#gref

If you need to change/translate some string in plugin, you can always use LocoTranslate which allow to do that:

    Thanks!

This is not a wordpress issue. This is a better messages styles and default text issue.

The color of the better messages button is blue. I don’t want it to be blue. Where in the plugin styles files are the button colors located so I can change it.

The default text written by Better Messages devs reads

Only participants can see this chat room messages

It needs to say something else that sounds literate. Where in the plugin files is the default text for that phrase so I can change it?

I don’t need help with wordpress colors. I need help with the plugin styles the better messages devs coded into the plugin.

    Thanks

    Hi there!

Please look into WordPress Customizer, there is Better Messages section where you can configure Better Messages colors, not WordPress colors.

The texts cant be edited in plugin directly, otherwise the changes will be lost on plugin update. The only correct way to change strings is to use LocoTranslate:
