  • Howdy!

Did you make any changes to your theme folder before you got this error? Is the folder the root folder, as in are all your theme files directly in this folder or are they in another folder inside that folder?

Are you able to connect to your site via FTP to see if there’s anything different about the theme folder? Was this particular theme working previously? Which theme is it?

I had a site with another host which is not active, doing the site all over again with ipage wp.

i used the wizard to select a theme from store front and it gives this error.

I tried to remove all theme installed and installed another, it never works. I uninstalled WP on the domain and reinstalled just now, same problem.

    I need help please.

I am having the exact same problem, including uninstalling/reinstalling WP on the domain, and the same problem happens. Deleting the theme from within the dashboard doesn’t work, either; the only way to get rid of the problem is to uninstall/reinstall WP. (Good thing I don’t have any content on the site yet!) I tried again with a different theme, and got the same message!

I didn’t change anything about either theme, just clicked “install” and “activate” from within the Manage Themes area of the dashboard.

The only thing I can think of in my case is that I’m using an add-on domain, so maybe WP is looking in the wrong directory for the stylesheet or other aspects of the theme.

This is very frustrating, and would appreciate any tips.
