stylesheet missing

  • Tried to download 3 separate themes now, and all three have had the error message ‘ style sheet missing ‘ . CSS sheets have been downloaded for all three. Any ideas?

    Ok Resolved. I hadn’t created a separate folder in FTP, under wp-content/themes – I’d just clicked and dropped the code into the file.

    1. Open FTP
    2. Go to wp-content/themes
    3. Create new file (in this case talian)
    4. Open up Talian file on desktop
    5.Highlight whole file and drop into talian file on FTP

    This uploaded straight away. Hope this helps someone.

    Hi Paul – mine is missing too – just tried your fix – but its till gone… any ideas anyone.?

    Missing stylesheets are not missing; they’re in the wrong folder.
    The problem comes from the Unzip facility which creates a new Folder inside your destination folder if you’re not careful. Check that you do not have ;
    /wp-content/themes/mynewtheme/mynewtheme/style.css etc.
    move all the files to the higher folder so you get:
    /wp-content/themes/mynewtheme/style.css
    Problem solved.
