• Hello,

I’m new to WordPress, and just upgraded to weaver-ii 1.3.2 tonight, having been using weaver ii 2.9 as my theme. WordPress told me the update had been completed, but that the stylesheet was missing. I got WordPress installed via my web host, which means I didn’t install it manually or download it onto my own computer first.
Currently WordPress is making me work on my site with the default themes installed, Twenty Twelve and Twenty Eleven, but I don’t want those. I want weaver ii 1.3.2 *with* stylesheet. How do I go about getting that done?

  • Is Weaver visible in your themes?

The ‘current theme’ given on the themes page is Twenty Twelve.
Then it says ‘Available Themes – Twenty Eleven’.
    Then below that it says
    ‘Broken Themes’
‘The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.’
    Name – weaver-ii
    Description – Stylesheet is missing.’

Sounds like you might need to reinstall that theme manually – do you have FTP access to your site set up?

But I’d suggest backing up your site before doing so…

You could also ask on the Weaver Theme’s dedicated forums here:

Thanks for suggesting these links. I do have FTP access via my host.

I tried reinstalling the theme manually via FTP access. This was not easy with my host…now I logged into my site, and the problem has not gone away. The weaver-ii theme is not available to preview and choose, so nothing has changed. I got an error message at one point on the Dashboard saying my themes directory or folder was either empty or missing, and to check my installation. It can’t be empty, because it contains Twenty Twelve, the default theme (I deleted Twenty Eleven from it). I don’t understand why WordPress would consider my installation to be a problem.
Basically, the result of my trying to reinstall the theme manually via FTP access has been exactly the same as when I tried downloading it again from within WordPress straight to my site dashboard – I was told weaver-ii was already installed. However, there are no icons or buttons that allow me to click on them to complete installation by, for example, uploading the missing style sheet. I know there is a style sheet or sheets because I’ve seen the files on my hosting account’s FTP File Manager!
