• I keep hearing about changing permissions, temporarily, to chmod 666 but I don’t see where to do this. I have checked the boxes to set my folder to write/read permissions.

I’ve tried deleting the old CSS file through FireFTP and reloading the correct one, but it still doesn’t update on the browser, although it’s correct in my WP dashboard editor.

  • I’ve found in the pass that with Godaddy the files are cached for long periods of time. You might need to wait 10-15min and keep refreshing to see the changes. If I were you, I would move host. Godaddy is a real pain in the butt.

Try forcing a refresh/reload from the server by entering Ctrl+F5 while viewing your web site. If that does not work, log out, clear your broswer cache and then go back.

It’s been much longer than 10 or 15 minutes. I tried Ctrl+F5 and it didn’t do it. Clearing the cache doesn’t work either. I’m okay with GoDaddy. I know everyone has a hard time with them, but they’ve been fine for me. I’m not good with change so I think I might lose my mind if I had to basically start all over somewhere else ??
