    Getting this error The author stylesheet specified in tag ‘style amp-custom’ is too long – we saw 55079 bytes whereas the limit is 50000 bytes.

    Any idea how this can fixed with your plugin?

  • Just got notification from Google search console about this too. It’s certainly not because of the custom css I inputted from the setting page because there are only few css codes.

    Found the culprit, I just realized that AMP for WP also loads css from other plugins. In my case WP Product Review Lite plugin is adding a lot of css to amp-custom, uninstalled the plugin for now and my AMP page is OK again in search console.

    Is there a way to disable certain plugins’ css from being loaded into AMP for WP css?

    Ahhh thanks alot themaker67, this should solve my problem.

    Thanks a lot! Fixed all the size limit errors I got. I used the plugin manager and disabled the plugin that outputs too much CSS.

    I fixed it – but it was because under the Amp Themes, I was using Design one, when I changed it to Design Two, it worked fine. Something about design one is causing the error.

    Yes. I am working with the WPPR team.

    I have this error since I published an important page 1 months ago. It is there only on 1 page.

    AMP team told me to clear cache. I cleared it multiple time on site, fastestcache and cloudflare. But it does not solve.

    After reading this page, I installed AMP plugin manager>>Disabled all plugins>>cleared all cache again>>Waited.

    It did not helped. Error:

    Linked AMP version is invalid.
    Author stylesheet specified in tag ‘style amp-custom’ exceeds limit of 50000 bytes
