Stylesheet Still Loading in the Footer in 1.5

How are you adding the form to the page? Is it a shortcode in the page content? If not, this is the correct behavior, though the caldera_forms_force_enqueue_styles_early can be used to make it load in header.

I am using the shortcode provided through the dashboard.

Prior to 1.4.9 it loaded in the header. With 1.4.9 it began loading in the footer/body. And with 1.5 it’s still loading in the footer/body.

I’d really like to get this sorted out for you, but I’m going to need additional information from you to understand why this is happening on your site, but not on ours or my test sites with the default theme.

• Is the shortcode in post content?
• If you switch to the default theme, does it move properly?
• Does that filter make it go to the header?

The shortcode is copy/pasted into a page (contact page).

I haven’t switched back to twentyseventeen. I’m worried I’ll lose theme settings. Last time I switched themes it didn’t turn out well when I switched back so I’m reluctant to do so.

Hi Amsgator – I’ve seen a lot of other, later participation from you on the forums. Am I correct to assume you sorted this out? If not – it might be a worthwhile investment of time to set up a copy of your site on a staging or local server and change the theme there. Conflicts like the one you’re describing happen with theme conflicts pretty often, so that might be your culprit.
