• I am currently working on a wordpress site with a static front page (on a local wp install), and am trying to change the way blog posts appear on my blog page. I’ve been creating a child theme within twenty-eleven but haven’t been able to figure out how to change the way blog posts appear on the blog page. Any ideas?

    Are you familiar with CSS?

The change the way the posts are displayed, you need to make a copy of the content.php in your child theme and then remove what you don’t want from that file.

Thank you, your suggestions got me started in basically the right direction. I ended up using the Post Format sections in style.css to change the way posts appear in index view. However I am also wondering is there a way to have posts appear differently in index view and single post view? I’m moderately experienced with CSS and HTML but have no real knowledge of PHP.
