Styling of button

Hi
How can I style a button? I just need to make it slightly smaller but can’t get it to work. Is this possible? Alternatively, could I add a style to an icon? I’m trying to get the social media icons in a circle, which i acchieved using a button but struggling to style it.
I’ve tried .fac.fac-button-template .fac-button { height: 20px!important; }
any ideas?
