[su_expand] not working

The su_expand shortcode isn’t working. It’s showing the content above the +/- text instead of revealing it when you click the + text. I’ve tried on 2 sites on 2 hosts and I’m getting the same results. Is there a comparability issue with wp 4.2.2 ?
Thoughts on why it isn’t working?
