    Running PiwigoPress 2.2.7.
When I attempt to add a picture from a sub-album, the interface will not allow me to choose the sub album. It is listed but when I select it the interface reverts to “Load List of Categories”. If I try to select the master album the same thing happens.
Using an album with no sub-albums works fine.

I believe it has to do with the directory names. Is there a way to change my directory names without having to re=upload the pictures? I know it can physically be done using FTP in Mozilla or FileZilla but then I have to recreate the album.

    Hi pathfinder,
can you tell me which path names create the problems? Myguess is that there are forward slashes in your albjm names … right?

    Thread Starter pathfinder

    (@pathfinder)

No forward slashes but underscores and hyphens.

Hmm, hyphens should work. Is the library public, ie available for testing? Alternatively you can send me the problematic titles by email if you don’t want to post them here, I keep them confidential.

This may be resolved. It seems I don’t have the problem in Chrome just Firefox. I am looking at a few things.
    Thanks for all your help.

Hmm, that sounds even more weird, as there is nothing specific in it. Maybe you have some invasive firefox plugins? Can you try this with a new user account and pristine firefox started in -safe-mode?

    Thread Starter pathfinder

    (@pathfinder)

    I will do that.

No joy. Tried 2 different machines. The problem is sporadic, although more no than go. If need be I’ll just use Chrome.

Hmm, I just tried it again with firefox (Debian/iceweasel). I can select the main album and any subalbum, and then click on “Start with 5 rec pics” and get the latest ones.

Can you turn on the JavaScript console and see whether there are some errors?

This pic shows the main page.

    This picshows the add page.

    (@norbusan)

Hmm, both of the screens do not look like they help. One more test:
    * open the console, activate the JS part
    * click on “Add new post”
    * click on the PiwigoPress button
    * click on “Load list of categories”

THere shouldn’t be any output in the JS console (maybe some warning from somewhere else).

This is at least what I see.

    Thread Starter pathfinder

    (@pathfinder)

    No output at all.

    Plugin Author Norbert

    (@norbusan)

Ok, then continue as before with JS console open, and after “Load list of categories” try to select an album with subalbum. You said that you are thrown back to the state where “Load list of categories” is shown.

In this case, is there any JS output?

    Thanks

Can you please retry with 2.28, I made some changes to make the selection more robust, but there is a problem with the drop down list and clicking which I cannot resolve at the moment.

You can always use TAB to select the dropdown and then use arrow up and down.

Let me know how it goes

    Thanks

That seems to work. Thank you for all your patience.
