• I had another topic regarding not being able to get the sub attribute to work, but that one had more to do with me being on PHP 7.2. I’ve since reverted to PHP 7 and no longer get an Apache error related to FileAway. However, for the life of me, I still cannot get the “sub” attribute to work. Whenever I put in the shortcode and try to define a subdirectory, it never works…it just keeps taking me to the base directory. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks!

Nevermind…figured it out finally… seems to be a mismatch between what is reported as proper attribute syntax in the documentation versus what actually gets populated by the shortcode generator in WP.

If you use the “Optional Sub Directory” field in the shortcode generator, it results in syntax like: file_away_sub=”subdirname”

    The above does not work.

If you instead use the “Additional attributes” field in the shortcode generator, with the format like (without the quotes) “sub=subdirname”, it results in syntax like: file_away_customattr=”sub?′?subdirname”

    This does work.

Confusing, but glad I figured it out. Hopefully this helps someone else if you run into the same issue I did.
