• Hi.

    I’m the webmaster of a WP blog. It’s not hosted by WP, it’s hosted by BounceWeb.

    I have a lot of categories and it’s becoming a problem. So I’d like to create sub domains in order to split my blog and make it easier to browse.
    I’d like to use the same theme for all my sub domains, but i need the categories to be different from one subdomains to an other.

    Someone recommanded me to use WordPress MU.
    It’s downloaded, unzipped and I copied the whole folder to /public_html.

    So now what do i have to do in order to make WP MU work ?
    Installation, …

    Thanks.

    thanks.

    I renamed the WordPress MU folder to WPMU.

    If I go to http: //domain.com/wpmu i got this:

    Index of /wpmu

    * Parent Directory
    * wordpress-mu/

    Apache/2.2.11 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.11 OpenSSL/0.9.7a mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 PHP/5.2.6 Server at domain.com Port 80

    If I go to http: //domain.com/wpmu/index.php i got the not found error message.

    And if i try to open the index.php file from the directory it opens unlimited empty firefox pages with no name.

    “4. Make sure your install directory and the wp-contents directory are
    writeable by the webserver.”

    How do I do that ?
