Sub menu items does not work anymore

The new version 1.3.5 ruins the menu system!
My primary menu “Menu 1” has several menu items with sub menu items.
With mouse-over on main item the sub items show up, but disappears if I try to mouse over the sub items.
Furthermore, the height of the search bar (a footer widget) is now smaller, which does not look nice.
