    Hi,

I have a quite old webshop with a custom made WP theme with woocommerce. After the update to Woocommerce 3.5 there is a problem with displaying subcategories in a categorie. Instead of displaying subcategories, a category shows only products. In the settings of woocommerce and the categorie I chose “display subcategories” but it still displays only the products. What is wrong? I suppose it has something to do with the custom theme, but I can’t seem to find the problem.

  • Hi @eyewebdesign,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the shop catalogue!

Issues like that are usually caused by the conflict with either your theme or other plugins, have you tried disabling all plugins and switching your theme to Storefront in order to rule out a theme or another plugin conflict?

If that resolves the issue, I’d recommend asking your custom theme developer to take a look.

    Cheers!

    Hi,

It’s definitely a problem with my theme, because when I switch to twentyfifteen the category displays fine. But I can’t seem to find the problem…

I did develop the theme myself…
