    Hi,

I really need to get subcategories added to some of my pages; similar to what is found here at the top of the page under “Shop by Category”:

    https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=

If that link doesn’t open directly to the “Books” category on Amazon, just select “Books” from the search dropdown, and keeping the search bar blank, do a search. Amazon’s search engine is seriously flawed.

Anyhow, it is hard to believe something that would seem to be so fundamental and is so oft-used on all sorts of eCommerce sites, is so difficult to create! I am new to WordPress. I started teaching myself about six months ago. I am picking up on much of the associated lingo, but layman’s terms would be appreciated if you could please help me with some sort of manner or alternative to getting this done.

    Thank you,
    Troy Theisen

    Hi @marketstop

There is no need to bump, the forums don’t work that way. Linking to Category pages this is possible from the Menu as shown here:

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/docs-menus/#section-6

As for the icons and flow of this on your site, ( like Amazon ), it would take customizations applied to the theme. You could work with a developer to customize a solution for your website. We recommend one of the services listed on this page who can assist with any custom development work.

Hopefully, this gets you going in the right direction to get the job done!
