• Hi,
I have a website where things are broken down by category and each category has some subcategories.

    Here’s the correct behavior:
With some top level categories on my site, when you click on the top level category in my navigation, you correctly get the entire list of posts for that category — including the subcategory.

For example, in the Web Development category om my site, which has XHTML and Dreamweaver as subcategories, you correctly see all of the posts from XHTML and from Dreamweaver. And my title on the category page correctly says “…browsing the Web Development Category”.

But if I go to the Microsoft Office category, which has subcategories word, excel, oneNote, etc.., if I click on Microsoft Office, instead of saying “..browsing the Microsoft Office category”, is says “..browsing the Word” category. This is clearly not correct as word is a subcategory, and not a top-level category.

I believe it has to be a category setup problem and not a coding problem because the Web Development section works fine.

If anyone has any insight on why this is happening or what I (think) I did wrong with my category/subcategory setup, any help would be much appreciated.

To reproduce the problem you can view the site at https://www.helpspa.com . You can then click any of the top level categories and you will see that some correctly display the top level category, while other top level categories display a sub-category instead.

Thank you very much in advance.
