When this plugin is activated on a WP install that is in a subdirectory (like /wordpress), you cannot get to the login screen by going to https://site-name.com/wp-admin, but rather you have to go to https://site-name.com/wordpress/wp-admin.

This isn’t an issue for me, but it is confusing to tell my clients that for now, your login URL is https://site-name.com/wordpress/wp-admin, but then after we launch you can shorten it to https://site-name.com/wp-admin.

I sometimes provide a link on the coming soon page to make it easy, but then my documentation & examples I provide to clients isn’t consistent or reusable. It would just be much easier if /wp-admin would just redirect as it should.

This usually a sign of a misconfigured site. I’ve seen others with this issue in the past and it’s usually turns out they have missed a step here.

Make sure your site and home url are the same also. Sometimes people put one with a www and the other without that can cause an issue.

I’m fairly certain I haven’t misconfigured anything. I’ve noticed this on quite a few websites over the last year or so, some were installed manually and some installed via Fantastico, but this issue occurs regardless. I double checked the steps you provided; nothing there was new information to me.

hum, strange I’ll look into it. The plugin only runs on the front end and not the admin. I’ll set a test enviroment to confirm! Thanks for the heads up!

I just installed Ultimate Coming Soon and have the same problem with logging in. If I try to login at the WordPress Address https://www.sitename.com/foldernamd/wp-admin it works, but if I use the Site Address https://www.sitename.com/wp-admin it does not work.
