SubDomain and Articles

  • Hi,

    I have a site working with wordpress. On this site I have some 15 articles, no comments, some categories, some pages and some pictures.

    I made a subdomain to this site where I need to put the same site, but with a different language.

    ORIGINAL: whatever.com
    NEW: spanish.whatever.com

    What do I need to do so that the subdomain will show all the articles and so on as visible on the original one? I would hate to have to move them all manually.

    Hope somebody has a clue.

  • There is a plugin! The global translator plugin (link) translates your blog over time automatically, using the same format that you are looking for. This does everything automatically, so there’s no need to set up another wordpress site and export/import everything.

    It also puts a handy “translation” box where ever you want on your site so that users can select a different language at any time.

    It takes some time to translate everything, but I think its your best solution. Let me know if it works!
