Subdomain or mysite/blog ???

search engines will not pick that up to fast! i email wordpress and they told me to add a subdomain name!

i see this site www-bomgar.com/blog has a word press blog and they are doing what i need! but wordpress is saying it cannot be done like that!

i dont mind spending the money but i have no clue how to even get this started..

any help would be nice thanks

i just now figured out that wordpress.com and www.ads-software.com or 2 diffenrt sites.

i guess wordpress.com is all online and www.ads-software.com is something you can download onto your server?

is this tricky to setup? is there any way i can find a guy that wants to make 20.00 bucks to chat with me to get this on my host?

1. Yes, they are different sites. (Actually, you don’t download “www.ads-software.com” but the software called “wordpress”)

2. It depends on your skills and willingness to learn. The link I gave you above has detailed instructions about Installation.

It will help you set up your own server. There are a few sticky points (mainly isp’s and their restrictions), however I found that you can in fact get it to work very nicely. There is one issue in the article that you need to be aware of…and that is when you go to log into wordpress for the first time.

When you go to log into your site for the first time this is how you have to type it in…”https://yourdomain.dnydns.org/wordpress/wp-login.php” without the quotes of course, also substitute dyndns.org with what ever port forwarding (dns) server you use.

Not true at all… Google indexes articles posted at our blog (installed on a subdomain) in less than 30 minutes or so.

www.computergeeksonline.net/blog may be better than blog.computergeeksonline.net for online ads. Some ad companies allows publishers to use ad codes only at the root directory.

All you have to do is to create a folder titled blog inside public_html and install WordPress inside it.
