So i went the subdomain route.

    Question.

in my case, the Primary Domain is magicalunderground.com

One of the add-ons is gieselman.me and therefore is gieselman.magicalunderground.com

first, is the above logic correct?

if so, shouldnt gieselman.magicalunderground.com resolve (or be directed) to gieselman.me? Right now, as you can see, the former brings you to some weird page. ??

    Thoughts?

No, subdomain.domain.com == subdomain.domain.com unless you used a Domain Mapping Plugin to map the subdomain site to a TLD.

gieselman…. is sending you to the WP page that says ‘You haven’t made a WP site at this location yet. Wanna?’

    nope, dont wanna. ??

i am using a Domain Mapping Plugin in order to have multiple Top Level Domains within the multisite setup using subdomains (i thought i had too).

Maybe i am over thinking it? I just want to make dern sure Search Engines arent confused…

    you’re overthinking it.

subdomains like gieselman.magicalunderground.com are *built in*. As long as your host supports wildcard subdomains.

If you are gong to map the blogs to a top level domain like gieselman.com? then picking sublders instead would have made not one bit of difference.
