So if I understand correctly … the universal tag goes only on the main domain (example: https://www.example.com), while on the subdomains (example: https://www.uk.example.com) the specific tag goes. Right?

Another question. But is it only valid for subdomains or also for subfolders? (Example: https://www.example.com/uk)?

subfolder should automatically be included from the main domain (I believe)

So with subfolders I shouldn’t need to check the apply to subdomains option. The thing is not clear. I invite the developers to clarify and make a clearer guide thanks.

There is no mention of subfolders – the path https://www.example.com/uk is an extension of https://www.example.com and the universal tag should apply to that one

of course you need to make sure the universal tag is implemented on all domains

Yes it does – it will show on subfolders – but for subdomains it may need more work
