    Re: https://www.entrpreneurmomnow.com

I’ve recently created a “coming soon” main site and was working with a subdirectory site that was not yet publicly available from the main site. In the interim, I created a page called “vancouver” and linked to it from the home page. The subsite in development is called https://www.entprepreneurmomnow.com/vancouver_test

To make the site live, I went through these steps:
    1. changed site name to vancouver
    2. Moved vancouver page to draft.
    3. Went to https://www.entrepreneurmomnow.com/vancouver

    Issue: subdirectory site has disappeared.

When I change the name back to “vancouver_test” the site returns to the main URL, so I can’t even see the admin for the vancouver_test site.

How can I fix this and restore all the posts that I’ve loaded, etc?

    Thanks!

  • It’s a conflict with the page title. Delete the draft, remove it from the trash. then you can have a site called /vancouver/

Thanks Andrea! That would make sense. I’ve just trashed it.

However, I still have this issue:

When I change the name back to “vancouver_test” the site returns to the main URL, so I can’t even see the admin for the vancouver_test site.

i.e. When I go to Vancouver_test, it still directs me to the main site, not the site in the subdirectory.

    Appreciate your help!

Gotta go make sure it’s entirely fixed in the database itself. You’re redirected to the main page because it can’t find it.

Yikes. I’ll attempt that but anything you can help me with on that end would be great.

Do you actually mean going directly into MySQL and fixing this? Or is there some other way to do this through WP admin?

    Resolved it. Thanks.

Yeah, I meant through phpmyadmin or whatever tool you use to access the db directly.

you can access the site details via network admin -> sites -> edit, but that doesn’t show you all tables.
