Subheading Plugin, showing up in too many places

I am using the subheading plug-in to display on pages – but it is displaying in other areas that I don’t want:
1. in the content of a page
eg: https://hummingboards.com/testing1/?page_id=522. On the homepage slideshow of the theme that references the ‘page’ information – it displays with the paragraphis written for the ‘page’
(these pages are using templates that call upon categories)
