Can’t seem to find this question answered anywhere else. I’ve installed the subheading plugin and everything seems to be ok. The subheading option is available whilst writing a post and is visible in the collective post listings in the admin admin section. But it just won’t show on the website. I’ve checked the correct boxes in the plugin settings page too but to no avail?

    My site is https://www.songsfromthehowlingsea.com

The plugin states ‘To display subheadings place <?php the_subheading(); ?> in your template file.’ specifically which template file? main, page etc? and can i place it anywhere? Btw i have tried all of the above and still no difference.

Ok sorted – for anyone who needs to know.

Go to Dashboard>Plugins>Subheadings> and configure the plugin. Make sure to tick the button “Automatically append before the content.” so that the heading can appear in your blog post. If you will not tick this button then subheading will not appear.
