Subheads?

    I’l like to add a subhead to my posts. Now, I could just make a subhead by using the h2 or h3 attribute in my entries, but I’l like the subheads to be directly below the headers/titles to my entries. Any plugins that will do the trick?

    Yes that would be the right way to do this.

    I’ve never done anything more than just experiment with this plugin so I can’t offer any informed opinion on it’s performance, but if you prefer a plugin solution, it (or something similar) might be worth a look.
