I already have a contact form that works fine, but it only allows one subject defined by me for all messages.

I need a field that the user can set the subject of the email.

Is that possible with this plugin?

  • Hi scottl31,

Sure, you can definitely allow your users to set the subject line. To do this, you’ll need to use a Smart Tag. Smart Tags can pull lots of different kinds of information, but in this case we’ll use a Smart Tag to pull the value from a form field.

    Here are the steps:

    1) Add a Single Line Text field to your form (this is what will collect the subject line content)

    2) Still in the form builder, go to Settings > Notifications.

    3) Just above the Subject box in the Notification Settings, click Show Smart Tags. This will open a list of fields in your form (shown in this screenshot). Then you can just click the name of the field you just added.

This will add the Smart Tag that will pull the value entered by the user.

Just be sure to submit a form to test this out so you can be sure everything looks how you’d like!

    Hope this helps ??
