submenu items not appearing in mobile view

I have looked everywhere on the forum and so far nothing has fixed my issue. I am using Sydney theme. The menu is visible and you can click on the parent items, but the sub items do not appear in mobile view – only in desktop mode. Doesn’t work in tablet view either. Please help. I’m losing my mind.
