    Dear all

I try to setup submenus / anchors on my website in order to allow visitors to jump directly to certain sections of my page. For this, I am using the Elementor header & footer builder plugin.

When using the anchor css id only, e.g. #test, in WP menu, it appears to scroll down for a split of a second, but immediately scrolling back to the top of the page. When clicking the submenu from another page, it does not seem to scroll down at all.

It does get a bit better when using the global url in WP menu, e.g. https://staging.bass-foto-film.ch/ueber-mich/#test. It works ok when clicking on the submenu from another page, but not when I am on the page “ueber-mich”, clicking on the submenu “test”.

All of above scenarios work perfectly in the front end, but not in the back end.
And all scenarios work perfectly on a mobile, but not on a desktop.

Since I am a rookie website builder and the header & footer builder plugin has excellent reviews, I suspect I might be doing something wrong.
Therefore I am kindly asking for your help. I already googled a lot and tried pretty much everything I could find in the web, but to no avail so far.

I am working with the OceanWP theme. A switch to brainstorm force’s own Astra theme did not help either.
When setting up a header/menu in OceanWP, submenu/anchors work fine, but I am facing other limitations, therefore I want to use the Elementor header & footer builder plugin.
Latest updates for plugins and WP are installed. I also tried deactivating all other plugins, no success.

    Thank you for your help!

    Cheers
    Juerg

    Hello Rahul

I already did, but you could not solve this, remember? Ticket ID 128878
I reached out to the forum, thinking maybe somebody else has an idea of something I have not tried yet…

Thanks for your help again! I was happy with your support, despite the fact that we could not solve the issue.

    Hi,

I have got the same issue, The On-page anchor works when you’re on different page, but it refreshes the page when you’re on the same page, instead of going to the given “#ID” section.

Waiting for the team to fix this bug.

    I anticipate hearing from you.
