submenu not redirecting to section of the page

    i have url something like below:

    https://test.com/

    i have created countries page(using elementor) and given id section-1
    to my section and i linked it to menu like below.

    https://test.com/countries#section-1

    when i keep above link in parent menu it is working, but when i add it to sub menu its keep reloading not redirecting.
    can you plz help me with this issue!

    Thank you for your kind patience with this and sorry for the delay in replying you here.

    Did you try this by deactivating other 3rd party plugins and activating the default WordPress theme? Just confirm if anything is getting conflicted with the default flow here.
