    Hi there,

We’re having an issue with the responsive submenu on this page : on a mobile device (android phone for instance), the submenu doesn’t show when you tap on the arrow.

It works fine on desktops but on a real phone, it seems the link is not adjusted on the arrow but on the left of it (which triggers the parent page links).

I’ve read the doc about submenus (depth in the options is set to 5). I must be missing something – can you help me ?

    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hi Matt,

Quite hard to debug if it works on desktop but not on mobile.

Do you have any scripts etc. that are only loaded on mobile devices that could be conflicting?

    Hiya,

They seem to be using a conflicting plugin. I’ll look into it.

Thank you for your reply ??

    Hi again,

So I’ve run some tests and here are my findings: when the responsive menu is open, you have the far-right down arrow to open the submenu :

    1. if you click on it, nothing happens : no dropdown. The parent li gets the .hover class but the child ul does not toggle.

    2. if you don’t click on the arrow, but on the left side of the 1px border, the menu opens.

It looks like a placement issue. The menu is only displayed for mobile so we can scratch the initial desktop/mobile premiss.

    I’ve put up a screeshot here :

    Not sure what to do!

    Thanks,

    Hi Matt,

Im not sure what to suggest here to be honest.

It works fine on desktop and the html, css etc. looks fine on mobile but its alot harder to debug on a mobile device so cant really find a cause.

As I said it could be something conflicting, either js or another html element overlaying it etc.

Unfortunately I can’t really offer much more advice and as its the first time I’ve ever seen this happen in 4 years it must be something specific to your site which makes it even harder as I cant replicate it on any of my sites.

Maybe your web developer might have an idea as they would know what else is being loaded on the site for mobiles etc?

    Let me know
