• I know others have had this problem, but i can’t find a relevant previous post to respond to.

When in mobile mode, i can click on a submenu to have it open, but i can’t get the submenus to close by clicking on them. Only clicking somewhere else on the page will close the navigation, but that’s hard to do when you have to scroll past open menus to get to the page. Clicking on the submenu’s also seems to bring me back to the top of the page for some reason.

Theme is a bare minimum theme, with no menu styling and no javascript. I turned off all other plugins to test for conflicts, and it still did not work. I checked the error log and no javascript errors are being reported.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi hdiueidh,

Thanks for posting a link. I see a couple of issues.

First, the CSS is out of date – last generated Thursday 19th of April 2018. To update it, go to Mega Menu > Tools and clear the CSS cache (and you’ll need to clear your browser cache too, as the query strings are missing from your asset files). That could get the arrow indicators working.

Then you might want to set the Menu Locations > [expand menu location] > Advanced > Second Click Behaviour option to “First click opens sub menu, second click closes sub menu”.

    Tom

    Thanks for the help.

Question: where did you see the last generated date of the CSS? When i go to Mega Menu > Tools, the section for clearing CSS cache says “The menu CSS was last updated on Thursday 1st October 2020 13:41:13”, which is consistent with when we last updated the menu. Is there a possibility that the cache is not clearing correctly? I did manually clear it using the button there.

Thanks for pointing out where that “second click” option was. I looked though the configurations for that, but i couldn’t find it and didn’t notice it in the pull down menu. I guess i was expecting a checkbox or something similar. Changing that setting solved the problem.

It is at the top of this file:

You have query strings disabled, and probably some sort of server caching, as when query strings are enabled the correct CSS shows up (check the date):
