Submission Page

  • I see that there is a ‘Moderate’ tab on Link Library.

    My guess is that this means there is a way to create a form for submitting a link to Link Library so the administrator can review it before deciding whether or not to admit it to the database for display.

    How do I go about doing this?

    For your question about moderation, I don’t see starting to add custom fields in that page since it would open things up to just have a ton of data on there. Please edit the links one by one. You can always right-click on the Edit link to up the editor in a different tab and keep your list in the original tab.

    For your question about the drop-down list, where are you storing your states? As categories? it is possible to display a drop-down list of categories or tags in the user submission form.

    Each link name is the name of a state.

    Ah, ok, I see. So you’d like to have a drop-down list of existing links from a given category that the user could pick from to say that it needs to be updated. I’ll have to think about how to do this and work on that.

    Working on this drop-down list of links to be able to select in the user submission form. Now, once selected and submitted, where would you want that reference to appear? Only in the e-mails that the administrator received when a new link is submitted?

    An email letting the administrator know it has been received would be good.
    Then it should appear in the Moderate tab so it can be edited [if necessary], the category selected, and then the link should be added to the Link Library.
