Submission Widget not working

    I have added the FrontEnd Submission widget to my site but it does not appear. I saw another post on the forum where somebody else was having the same issue and it was suggested to use
    [ai1ec_interactive_frontend]
    This puts the button in the widget but it does not go anywhere. It just reloads the homepage with a /# link.
    What is this shortcode supposed to do?
    How do you get a direct link to the frontend submission form?

    I have figured out that the submission code will work as long as it is not used on the same page with the upcoming events widget.
    If I put the code on a blank page without the Upcoming Events widget, it will load.
    But, I need the submission button below the upcoming events since the two work together.

    I was able to create a custom widget code in the Widget Creator and get it to work on the same page as the Upcoming Events widget.
