    Hey Mianne,

I just took a look at this and found that something (another plugin or your theme) is hooking a JavaScript event on the submit button of the form that our plugin generates.

This event fires an AJAX call when the submit button is clicked, cancelling the default “submit” action. It is a little hard to locate where this event is coming from but I have a feeling changing the “et_pb_newsletter_button et_pb_button” class on the submit button will get rid of it.

Most likely, the other plugin is attaching the event to all buttons with the et_pb_newsletter_button.

Let me know if that works please.

    Hi

Ok, that sounds good. Thanks for having a look.

I’ll have a bit of a look myself, but will also lodge a support ticket with the theme developers as they promote MailChimp specifically. Hmm, gets me thinking ….maybe I might not need your plugin?

(for info, for future reference, the theme I’m using is Divi, by Elegant Themes)

Thanks. Will let you know how I get on.

    Hi again

I did remove both classes from the submit button and it does in fact work. I’ll repost that info also on Elegant Themes support area, as it might be of use to them.

    Thanks.
