• Hello,
I put form (via the shortcode) in to lightbox that opens when visitor clicks on certain link on the page and I have the following problem:
If I just click form submit button without entering anything in the fields (required fields included) form just closes the lightbox (refreshes so to speak). If I open the lightbox again I can see error text in red above the “required” fields, but how to prevent form from “refreshing” and closing the lightbox in the process if there are errors (like missed required fields). It is fine if form refreshes (and closes lightbox) if submit is succesful, but if there are error messages – they not visible if lightbox is closed. I think the error messages should be displayed “on the spot”, without refreshing the page – is it possible.
    Thank you in advance.

  • Hi, if you put the shortcode in a page or post do you still get the same issue?

No, the form inserted via shortcode into the post, sidebar or page functions as it should be. But contact form in the lightbox closes it if “submit” button is clicked. I think because it refreshes the form. I am experimenting with another form in the same lightbox and in the same scenario I described above it doesn’t close the lightbox (I was told by developer that it displays error messages “on the spot”). I hope that makes sense to you. Thanks.

Hi thank you for the extra information. The plugin developer will investigate further your request.

Sorry but lightbox is not compatible. It will not work and i cant make it work
