Yes, it is possible to increase the button with the CSS code, please provide a link to your calendar page.

It is not possible to display only form on page.

Anything though regarding the transparent background problem on the tags and categories?

I don’t have a child theme. Any other suggestions? Also, do you know if you can change the wording on the buttons to “submit you event”
