Complete newbie, so any help, please be explicit.
Using Contact Form 7, Email Before Download, Download Monitor and FluentSMTP. Set up following online tutorial.
The submit takes 55+ seconds and I do get emails with the correct links that all work. But the 55+ time is far too long.
Also, the inline link has never worked.
I’ve switched all the plugins and no change. Tried a number of suggestions on this forum, but again no result.
I’ve made the page live for now, so hopefully someone can help.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Health Check & Troubleshooting

    Page Builder by SiteOrigin
    RaraTheme Companion
    Regenerate Thumbnails
    Responsive Accordion And Collapse

The theme is Chic Lite – Rara Themes

Try switching to the default theme and deactivating all plugins excluding Contact Form 7, Akismet Anti-Spam, Health Check & Troubleshooting, and Wordfence Security.

Why you are advised to deactivate plugins and switch to the default theme.

Hi. I did as you requested, changed to standard theme and deactivated all the other plugins.

The tick boxes, input fields and submit button did not appear.
Added back the email before download plugin and the fields needed to submit appeared. Format disjointed, see below.

Submission, still took 55+ seconds before the success message appeared and the email was sent. Tried several times.

    Any other ideas?

    Regards
    Henry

    Hi.
Sorry, I should have been clearer.
With only Contact Form, Akismet Anti-Spam, Health Check & Troubleshooting, and Wordfence Security enabled, the contact page displays this text only, no tick boxes, entry fields or submit button.

To display the tick boxes, entry fields and submit button, I had to re-enable the Email Before Download plugin. But then had the same 55+ seconds delay after pressing the Submit button.

    Does that make sense now?

I got it. So, you’ve reached the conclusion that the cause of the problem is the Email Before Download plugin, right? Why don’t you just stop using it?

Hi. Thanks for reviewing. I’m not sure it is EBD plugin itself, but that it is somehow clashing with something else – Javascript bug?
I could stop using it if you could recommend another free plugin that captures name and email before providing links or email links to the downloads.
