Submitting values as an array

There does not seem to be a way to have an input of the same name as an array.
eg. <input id=’2′ type=”text” name=”email[]” />
It seems that each field have a unique ID attached to it. Do you have a turnaround for this? I tried duplicating the ready-made field and edited the name manually through jquery. It works, but the validation fails.
Need a hand guys.
