I recently migrated my old WordPress site from Heart Internet hosting to Amazon Lightsail. On the technical side, everything is now working nicely as far as I can see. A few key things have changed since my old hosting:

    • Now using HTTPS rather than HTTP
    • Removed old ‘blog’ subdomain
    • WordPress is now in the top-level root of the site, previously it was in a ‘blog’ subdirectory: https://www.swarley.me.uk/blog
    • I was temporarily working on my new hosting via public IP whilst waiting for the DNS to update: 3.10.43.36

After some initial teething issues, I got Jetpack connected to my new site and deleted/disconnected my old site. However, I still have a weird problem with my email subscribers. According to the form provided by the “Subscribe” block (in the sidebar of my theme), I still have 786 subscribers carried over from my previous hosting. However, when I go into the “Email Followers” section of Jetpack admin, it says “No one is following you by email yet.”

I suspect this is because all my old data from my previous WordPress hosting has not been carried forward to my new hosting? However, I would have expected the “Subscribe” block and the “Email Followers” data to be consistent. Can anyone advise or help please? Have I misunderstood something here?

    Thanks very much!

    Hi @iamswarley

The “subscribers” carried over originally were your social media followers, which Jetpack includes in its count. That said, I was able to find your old email followers and have moved them over to your new URL. Additionally, I also moved over your old stats.

If you are using caching plugin, you will need to reset your cache to see the updated followers on the frontend of your site.

Thank you so much @lastsplash – the missing followers and data are now visible in my Jetpack admin! I really appreciate your help.
