On my new site I am using the Jetpack Subscribe widget in the sidebar to allow email signups. The setting to move the subscription button to a new line is not working. It just shifts a few pixels over when this setting is toggled. I also tried setting the width to 100% which I have read will force the button to a new line and that does not work either. I am using the OceanWP theme.

Most perplexingly, I have another website running OceanWP with almost the exact same customizations, and there the subscribe button to newline feature works fine in the sidebar. I actually copied the WordPress block stack from the working site to this new site which carries over all the formatting and settings, and the button still refuses to move to a new line!

Hi @nabeer – if you switch your theme to a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-Two, then does the issue resolve?

    No, it does not.

Forgot to mention troubleshooting steps in my original post. I switched theme, as well as disabling all other plugins. Even disabled and re-enabled Jetpack. The issue was still there.

Hey, @nabeer – thanks for the confirmation. I was testing it with the OceanWP theme, and as you can see in my sidebar, there is no such issue with the subscribe box: https://i.imgur.com/jGMqRXb.jpg.

Could you please add a new widget again, and this time only use the “Subscribe” block (Screenshot)?

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried making a new widget with only the subscribe button, and when I toggle the option to move the button to a new line it moves a few pixels down but not to a new line.

I also found an option in the theme regarding wrapping text in widgets, I toggled that on and off to no effect.

Hello @nabeer – even with placing the button in a new line, it is working fine on my end with the OceanWP theme as you can see here: https://i.imgur.com/pD7pnNO.jpg.

From the above results, it appears mainly like a styling issue with the theme settings, and I would suggest here you get in touch with the OceanWP support team as they should be able to help you with this or at least they can provide you the Custom CSS to solve the issue.
