    Thanks for swinging by the forum. I certainly understand the concern over not seeing that signup work as expected, and we’ll be happy to help get things pointed in the right direction.

    As you’d mentioned, completing a signup with the plugin would trigger a confirmation email, as we’d be putting those subscribers through MailChimp’s double opt-in. In testing the plugin out on your site, I was able to confirm that the plugin itself would appear to be working, but I’d nevertheless been unable to receive that confirmation email.

    In this case, our first recommendation would be to try a test signup using the “hosted” signup form in your account. To locate that form, log into your MailChimp account, navigate to the Lists page, select the list, click Signup Forms> General Forms, and copy the URL provided underneath “Signup form URL” into your browser. From there, perform a test signup.

    If that test signup with the hosted form encounters similar problems, and you don’t receive that Confirmation Email, we’d recommend reaching out to MailChimp’s main support team, directly. However, if you find that the ‘hosted form’ signup works, but the plugin does not, then we’d be happy to investigate further.

    In the event of the latter occurring, can you email your username over to wordpress at mailchimp dot com, and post directly in this thread to let us know you’d sent the email? We’ll then reply in this thread.

    I found the solution a few posts down. I deactivated Contact Form 7 and now Mailchimp works perfectly.
