Hi – when subscribers receive an email about a new published blog post the email is not displaying the images. It is displaying the html and tags…
    example :

    [/et_pb_text][et_pb_image admin_label=”DETAIL” src=”https://joffotoblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/JFT_1189.jpg” show_in_lightbox=”off” url_new_window=”off” animation=”off” sticky=”off” align=”center” force_fullwidth=”off” always_center_on_mobile=”on” use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid” /][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” background_layout=”light” text_orientation=”justified” text_line_height=”2em” use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid”]

How can you change this OR how can you change it so it shows a short description of the blog article and subscribers have to click to read more ?

That’s indeed a known issue: the shortcodes created by the plugin are not supported in Jetpack Subscription emails. You can read more about it here:
    https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/869

However, adding the More tag before the shortcodes should help. Could you give it a try, and let me know how it goes?

    Hi – thanks – questions :

    1. I have changed the Reading – For each article in a feed, show “Summary” that did not do the trick.

    2. I clicked on the link about to the ‘the More tag’ and it did not work. can you please post the link ?

    thanks – jerryr125

I’ve just subscribed to your site, so I can see how your future subscription emails look like. If you’ve switched your Reading settings from Full Text to Summary, the problem should disappear in future emails.

I just received an email about your last post, and I can see the problen. It seems that your Shortcode manager also adds shortcodes to your excerpts.

Could you make sure the shortcodes are only added to your post content, and not to your excerpts? If that’s not possible, I’m afraid I can only suggest that you switch back to “Full Text” in your Reading Settings, and use the More Tag to split the content of your posts in 2 parts, one part without the shortcodes, and another with them.
