• We tested the mailchimp wordpress plugin after installing it weeks ago and it was adding new subscribers just fine, but today I received a report that it was no longer working. We tested several different email addresses on our end to confirm that this is the case. The API calls seem to be registering as I can see records of them in our account, but actual emails are not entering our list. I tried hitting the “Update List” button and even adding a new API key with no avail.

  • Hi @sproutchris,

Thanks for reaching out! I’d love to take a look and see what is going on here. In order to do that, could you please reply back here with the following details?

    – A link to your site you have the form installed
    – What theme is currently on your page?
    – What other plugins are installed?
    – Did you make any recent changes to the theme or plugin setup, and if so, does this issue persist if those changes are temporarily reversed?

Thanks! I look forward to hearing back and helping out.

    Warm Regards,

    Pearl

evergreenhomesnw.com with a custom theme. The plugin was working fine before and we made no changes anywhere, it just stopped working one day. I have a duplicate of the site in a private environment where the only plugins I still had activated were Advanced Custom Fields (which the theme requires) and the MailChimp plugin but still not working.

Like I stated before, it looks like the API is recording that it is receiving the requests, but they don’t seem to be doing what they should with the final result of adding the email to the list of subscribers.

    Hey @sproutchris,

Thanks for the reply! I went ahead and tested out the form at https://www.evergreenhomesnw.com/, and I received the confirmation email as expected. I clicked confirm subscription, and I was added to the list in question. That being said, since you aren’t seeing that happen on your end, it would likely be a good idea for the MailChimp support team to check out the specific email addresses that were unable to be added to the list. It’s possible that they may already be unsubscribed, cleaned, or in some other sort of compliance state. If you could, please reach out to that support team following their KB’s instructions, here: https://kb.mailchimp.com/accounts/management/mailchimp-support-options#Contact-Support and please include a link to this support thread as well as any specific email addresses that could not be added to the list through this form. That will also allow them to turn on an internal logging tool to observe the API calls as they are coming in, and run some additional tests.

Thanks! And please feel free to post again if you run into any other questions about the plugin we can help out with.

    Warm Regards,

    Pearl
